BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING READ THE README FILE.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Ok, here's the news: this version of Greek support has no Makefile. The only
requirement is that you have dialog(1), the user interface program that takes
care of the Slackware installation.

As of this version, two separate Greek charsets are supported: the traditional
hacked 437 code page (aka 437G) and the standard Greek encoding, ISO-8859-7,
aka ELOT-928, aka code page 928.

Since recent kernels do NOT allow the use of 437G without a hack, instructions
on how to patch any 2.0.x (x>=25 I think) and 2.1.x kernel sources are
included. There is no patch as such, since such a thing would depend on the
version of the kernel. The hack is very easy, anyway (two lines need to be
commented out). Have a look at the FAQ for instructions.

To install the package, just run install.greek and follow instructions.

DISCLAIMER: If you install stuff without reading this README file (or any
other, for that matter), don't expect me to accept any responsibility! I
really can't be bothered, even if your kernel goes berserk, thrashing your
hard disk and making phone calls to phone sex lines, or your wife leaves you
because of this package. As far as all that is concerned, you're on your own.
So, before you go on, GO RTFM! :-)
